About

Our Mission

We are committed to representing people who were sold defective vehicles or lemons. We also represent people who have been harmed by credit reporting agencies, debt collectors, auto dealers, banks and corporations. We are ordinary people that strive each day to remember who we are. We provide honest, caring representation and treat everyone with dignity and respect. We will do the hard work necessary to understand your case, speak the truth and present your case to a jury.

Who We Are

We are ordinary people that strive each day to remember who we are and where we’ve come from. We believe that the only way to understand you and your story is first to know, understand and accept ourselves. We care and stand up for truth and justice. When you call on us we promise to listen to you, evaluate your case and let you know whether we can represent you. If we agree to represent you then we will do the hard work to understand your case, speak the truth and present your case to a jury. Many cases settle before trial and you need a lawyer who can tell you the risks and benefits of putting your case before a jury.

About Balam

My parents are hardworking Guatemalan immigrants. They raised my siblings and I in Union City, CA and for a time in Gilroy, CA. My parents taught me the value of hard work, respect for others and to love family. I grew up with a lot of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Some of those folks are blood-related and others aren’t, but my parents never saw any difference and neither do I. When you visit my office or become a client I hope to treat you with the same warmth and caring that I learned from my family.

There are many reasons I chose to become an attorney, but what I’ve learned over time is that it’s my love of people and their own story that sustains me. I will take the time to listen to you, learn your story and let you know if I can help.

I specialize in consumer law. All the things you see on this website is a lot of what consumer law is about. I started my office in 2005 with the purpose of helping normal people solve problems that may seem hopeless. Contact me. I hope I can take the weight off your shoulders.

I am a father, husband and trial lawyer. I enjoy cooking, surfing, yoga, improv and spending time with my family. I received my undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley and my law degree from Santa Clara University. I am a 2008 graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. Prior to being a lawyer I was an elementary school teacher.
